Will Sheridan is thirteen and obsessed with film. Armed with a Super 8 projector and boot-sale reels, he builds a cinema in his bedroom - a refuge from playground cruelty, family tension, and the bafflement of first love. But as the world outside grows messier and adulthood looms, Will must decide whether films are just an escape, or a way of learning how to live.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s Britain and threaded with references to classic films, 'Coming Attractions' is a sharply observed, quietly moving novel about childhood, imagination, and the slow, unsettling process of growing up.
